We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily along with an in-house boutique bakery, full espresso bar, patio seating with ocean views, and live music several nights a week. We pride ourselves on fast and friendly service, home cooked meals featuring locally sourced ingredients, and the art of traditional, no frills baking.

OUR HISTORY
From dive bar, to card room, to gas station, to bakery; the building at 490 Highway One has a long and storied history.
Opening in 1982, Whale City served as a gas station and commercial bakery supplying the Cash Store restaurant, but that didn't last long. As word spread about our mouth-watering bakery items, Whale City opened as a retail bakery to meet the increased demand from around the world.
In the early 1990s, we expanded our offering to full meal service, a coffee and espresso bar, and local beer and wines. Since then, we have been working tirelessly to ensure all of our products are high-quality, sustainable and above all delicious, so our customers can enjoy the beauty of the North Coast without ever having to worry about what's for dinner.
